About the Kalaripayattu Teacher Training Programme

The Agasthyam Sampradayam Certified Teachers’ Training Course is a one-year intensive Gurukulam-based kalaripayattu teacher training programme under the direct guidance of Gurukkal Dr. S. Mahesh, Fifth-Generation Kalari Gurukkal.

This kalaripayattu teacher training course focuses on:

Training Levels and Syllabus

Level I - Foundational Year

1st · Duration: 12 Months (2 Months Residential + 10 Months Hybrid) Syllabus: Meipayattu, Chuvadu (Kalari Steps), Vadivu, Animal Flow, Bare Hand, Locks (Basics), Stick (Long), Gadha.

Level II - Intermediate Weapons Year

2nd · Duration: 3 Months Syllabus: Short Staff, Sword, Knife, Sword Fight, Locks (Basics).

Level III - Advanced Combat Year

3rd · Duration: 3 Months Syllabus: Sword and Shield, Urmi Veeshu, Urmi Payattu, Locks (Advanced), Katcha with Knife.

Level IV - Mastery and Healing Year

4th · Duration: 3 Months Syllabus: Marapidichu Kuntham, Pressure Points, Marmakolu, Locks (Advanced), Treatment.

Foundation Stage - Level I Detail

Year: First · Duration: 12 Months · Mode: Hybrid Phase I: 2 Months Residential Immersion Phase II: 10 Months Guided Training and Internship (Online) Total Training: 600+ Hours Training Style: Traditional Gurukulam System

Refund and Cancellation Policy

The pre-registration amount is non-refundable.
Cancellations within 3 days of registration are eligible for a 60% refund of the total fee, excluding the pre-registration amount.
Cancellations after 3 days from registration are not eligible for any refund.
Approved refunds will be processed within 7 working days.
A full refund will be issued only if the programme is cancelled by Agasthyam Kalari.
Agasthyam Kalari reserves the right to revise schedules, policies, or programme structures without prior notice.
