What is SHAKTHI?

SHAKTHI is Agasthyam Foundation’s women’s self-defence initiative, founded by Gurukkal Dr. S. Mahesh. Drawing on kalaripayattu combat principles, SHAKTHI workshops teach practical self-defence skills to women of all ages, building confidence, resilience, and physical strength. The programme has empowered over 15,000 women across India.

SHAKTHI is open to all women, school students, college girls, working professionals, and homemakers. No prior fitness level or martial arts experience is required. Workshops are conducted at schools, colleges, corporate offices, and community organisations across Kerala and India.
